Coaches Gather in Strong Numbers Ahead of Karate One-Youth League Fujairah

Ahead of the opening of the Karate One‑Youth League Fujairah 2026, the Karate coaching community showed significant engagement, with high attendance across official preparatory activities before the opening Karate One Youth League event of the season.

A total of 95 coaches attended the official coach briefing, while 100 coaches took part in the coach meeting. Both sessions were managed by WKF Supervisor at the event and Chair of the Technical Commission Mohamed Elhosieny.

During the coach meeting, new rules and recent changes in the competition format were presented in line with WKF governing body directives. Coaches were encouraged to transfer this knowledge directly to athletes and national teams. Organisers emphasized that coaches remain a key factor in the sport’s development and competitive success worldwide.

Elhosieny also delivered detailed information regarding competition operations and organizational procedures. The objective was to ensure smooth implementation during the event and provide clarity on technical processes for all delegations.

WKF President Antonio Espinós said:

“Coaches being aligned with the new updates and progress of karate is a crucial step to guarantee that the standards of competition continue raising. Coaches are the guarantors of karate values at competitions, especially at young ages such as the Karate One-Youth League. It is essential that they pass this knowledge to their pupils so our values continue being the main reference of our events.”
