The celebration of youth karate continued on the second day of the 2026 Karate One Youth League in Poreč, Croatia. One of the biggest youth karate events in the world saw the first cadet champions and a new group of junior winners take the top step of the podium. With thousands of athletes competing, the tournament once again highlighted the values of karate and the bright future of the sport.

Martin Vercimak claims Cadet Kata title

Slovakia's Martin Vercimak won the gold medal in Cadet Kata Male after defeating Marcus Wong Kin Ho of Hong Kong China by 4-1 in the final. Vercimak delivered another strong performance to finish on top of the podium.

Dmytro Liubymov wins Junior Kumite Male -61kg

Germany's Dmytro Liubymov captured the Junior Kumite Male -61 kg title with victory over Christian Eduard Toncu of Romania in the final. Liubymov completed an impressive day to secure the gold medal.

Samandar Zokirov takes Junior Kumite Male -68kg

Uzbekistan's Samandar Zokirov earned the Junior Kumite Male -68 kg crown after defeating Vedad Mujic of Bosnia and Herzegovina 5-2. Zokirov controlled the final to secure the victory.

Nejra Zukić prevails in all-Bosnian final

Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrated gold in Junior Kumite Female -48 kg as Nejra Zukić defeated compatriot Adna Zukić 5-3. The closely contested final showcased the country's strength in the category.

Leonor Gonçalves edges tight -53kg final

Portugal's Leonor Gonçalves claimed the Junior Kumite Female -53 kg title with a narrow 1-0 win over Daria Konstantynova of Ukraine. A single point proved enough to decide the gold medal.

Morgane Scarfone secures -59kg gold

France's Morgane Scarfone won the Junior Kumite Female -59 kg title after beating Hannah Bath Soendergaard of Denmark 3-1. Scarfone produced a composed performance to finish as champion.

Selda Meyen wins Cadet Kumite Female -61kg

Greece's Anastasia-Eirini Pergalia captured the Cadet Kumite Female +61 kg title with a 7-3 victory over Lamija Omanovic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Pergalia's attacking performance earned her a deserved gold medal.
