WKF Youth Camp Returns to Porec with Karate’s Biggest Stars

The World Karate Federation (WKF) Youth Camp returns to Poreč, Croatia, from June 29 to July 1, bringing together thousands of young karatekas from around the world for three days of learning, friendship, and the values of karate.

Now in its18th edition,the WKF Youth Camp remains the largest youth karate activity in the world. Open toparticipants aged 10 to 20, the event offers a unique opportunity for young athletes to train with some of the sport’s most successful competitors while sharing experiences with fellow karatekas from every continent.

The2026 editionwill feature an outstanding group of instructors, including some of the biggest names in international karate:Douglas Broseof Brazil,Irina Zaretskaof Azerbaijan,Andjelo Kvesićof Croatia,Ivan Kvesićof Croatia,Damian Quinteroof Spain, andAlessio Ghinamiof Italy.

Douglas Brosearrives in Poreč as one of the most respected athletes in the sport. A member of the WKF Athletes’ Commission, Brose is a three-time World Champion, seven-time continental champion and one of karate’s most celebrated competitors.

Irina Zaretska, a three-time World Champion and 2021 continental champion, is widely regarded as one of the finest athletes in her division and continues to be a leading figure in international karate.

Croatian starAndjelo Kvesićcomes to the Youth Camp after winning gold at the Karate One Premier League Rabat just two weeks ago. A two-time World Championships bronze medallist and two-time continental champion, Kvesić is among the most successful athletes of his generation.

His brother,Ivan Kvesić,is also among the instructors. The Croatian standout won the world title in 2018 and claimed continental gold in 2025.

In kata, participants will learn from one of the sport’s greatest legends.Damian Quinteroearned the Olympic silver medal, seven continental titles, and four World Championships silver medals during an exceptional career that has inspired generations of karate athletes.

Joining him is Italy’sAlessio Ghinami,one of kata’s most promising young stars. Ghinami recently secured silver medals at both the World Championships and the Continental Championships, confirming his place among the rising talents of the discipline.
