Fujairah Opens 2026 Karate One-Youth League Season with Record Numbers

The 2026 Karate One-Youth League season begins in Fujairah, UAE, setting the stage for another year of top-level competition for young athletes. After Fujairah, the series will travel to Harare, Manila, Poreč and Venice, bringing together the best rising talents in world karate.

Fujairah will host the opening event of the season, once again placing the city at the centre of youth karate. Over 2,200 athletes from 93 countries are registered to compete. The numbers confirm the strong global reach of karate and its growing appeal among young athletes.

This year marks the fourth consecutive edition of Fujairah hosting a Karate One-Youth League event. The city has become a regular stop on the international karate calendar as it previously welcomed a Karate One-Premier League event in 2022. The UAE has also hosted several of karate’s biggest competitions in recent years. Among them were multiple Karate One-Premier League events and the World Championships held in Dubai in 2021.

The Karate One-Youth League is the largest series of events for young karate competitors. It gathers athletes from across continents, offering them a chance to compete at an international level early in their careers. For many, it is a first step onto the world stage.
